About Us

The Graduate[d] Catholics group is geared toward young adults transitioning from college life. Our mission is to develop faith and promote a sense of community through a variety of activities.

We are a community...
We endeavor to build friendships and strengthen community through a variety of social gatherings (sports events, coffee shops, movies, parties, etc.)

...of faith...
We seek to challenge each other and ourselves to ask questions and grow in our faith. Members of the group alternate leading discussions about life and faith that are based on various readings designed to stimulate thought.

...and service.
We desire to strengthen our community through participating in opportunities to serve the community at large.

Current Opportunities

Spring 2012 Reading: The Great Divorce by C.S. Lewis

Meetings typically occur on Sunday night after the 7pm Mass and may alternate between discussion on the current reading, topical discussions, social events, and service opportunities. Feel free to come!

What's coming up?


• THE GREAT DIVORCE: Sunday, January 30th 8PM
  We will be covering chapters 3 and 4 this Sunday at Doggett after the 7PM mass.
  
  
• THE NEW MASS: Wednesday, January 25th 7PM
  There will be a discussion and Q&A session about the changes to the mass at Doggett night this Wednesday after the 6:30PM mass.
  
  
• WINE AND GAMES NIGHT: Saturday, January 28th
  This is the major fundraiser for the annual Young Adult Honduras Mission Trip (March 3-10, 2012). The event will take place in Clare Hall Fellowship Room at St. Francis of Assisi. Tickets will be $20 per persons 21 and over, or $80 for 5 tickets. Childcare will be available at a cost of $5 per child (with RSVP). Get Event Tickets Online now: http://bit.ly/DoR-YA-Honduras

• SOCIAL/SERVICE EVENTS
  Several people have suggested possible social and service activities: hiking, movie nights, planting a food garden, sports games, river/greenway cleanup, trivia night at a bar, and helping at Catholic Parish Outreach. Let us know if you would be willing to organize one of these events or if you have any other ideas for social or service activities.
